Polk Scholastic Chess serves 600 plus students from grades Pre K through 12. The program is open to all the students of Polk County; this includes home-schooled children, private schools and the Polk County Schools. We believe the game of Chess is an exciting way to teach critical thinking skills, sequencing, sportsmanship, self-control and many other skills important for academic growth and development. We are a non profit, 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to encouraging academic growth through the game of chess. We will accept any and all donations that do not compromise the integrity of our organization.

Special Note:
We would like to offer your business a chance to help Polk Scholastic Chess keep the cost of participation down for our students and families, by advertising in our Polk Scholastic Chess Players and Coaches Manual. This manual is available to all participating students.
We anticipate over 600 players and their families will attend each of our five tournaments held throughout the year. We offer several levels of sponsorship for your consideration in making a monetary donation, which is tax deductable. The levels are:
King Patron - $ 2,500.00 or up in donation, includes a full page ad in the manual
Queen Patron - $ 1,000.00 - includes a full page ad in the manual
Rook Patron - $ 500.00 - includes a half page ad in the manual
Bishop Patron - $ 250.00 - includes a quarter page ad in the manual
Knight Patron - $ 100.00 - includes a listing ad in the manual
Pawn Patron - $ 50.00 - includes a listing ad in the manual
